Men's Golf Leads Big Ten Championships after Round One

EVANSTON, Ill. - The 13th-ranked Northwestern men's golf team holds a three-stroke lead after one round of the Big Ten Championships in Minneapolis. The Wildcats posted a team score of 284 in Friday's first round, leading No. 7 Minnesota and Ohio State.
Individually, Luke Donald and Jess Daley are tied for third place at one-under-par 70. Illinois' Larry Nuger leads the field at 68 after one round. Other opening-round scores for the Wildcats were Erik Ciotti (even, 71), Josh Habig (+2, 73) and David Shaffer (+4, 75).
The second round is taking place Friday afternoon. Results will be posted Friday night following round two on nusports.com.
