EVANSTON, Ill. - Senior Erik Ciotti (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) posted rounds of 71-68-67 to finish in third place at seven-under-par in last weekend's Keswick Club Cavalier Classic in Charlottesville, Va. Ciotti's 54-hole total of 206 is the third-best mark in school history, just two shots off the record set by Scott Rowe at the 1995 Kent Invitational. Ciotti's final-round 67 tied his previous career best, set at last year's Keswick Club Cavalier Classic.

With the tournament serving as the season-opener for NU, the Wildcats finished in second place as a team, shooting rounds of 282-281-278 to finish at 11-under-par 841. North Carolina won the tournament with a team total of 831 while UNC's Brad Hyler won the individual title at 11-under-par 202.

Junior Danny Riskam (Olney, Md./Sherwood) had his best tournament as a Wildcat, shooting rounds of 69-72-69 to finish in a tie for eighth place at three-under-par 210. Luke Donald tied for 11th place at two-under-par 211 (71-70-70) while Jess Daley tied for 18th place at one-over-par 214 (71-71-72). Josh Habig rounded out the Wildcat scores, tying for 68th place at 230 (76-77-77).

The Wildcats next travel to Bremerton, Wash., for the Husky Invitational on Sept. 28-29. NU then hosts the Windon Memorial Classic on Mon.-Tue., Oct. 5-6, at North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Ill.
