Men's Golf Finishes Ninth in San Juan

EVANSTON, Ill. - In their first spring meet, the Northwestern's men's golfers finished ninth of 18 teams at the San Juan Shoot-Out at Rio Mar Country Club, Feb. 21-23. The Wildcats shot a three-day total of 883. Clemson won the tournament, shooting 830.

Sophomore Luke Donald (High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England/ Royal Grammar School) was NU's top individual finisher, shooting a two-under- par 214. Junior Jess Daley (Kent, Wash./Kentwood) shot an even par 216, including a 68 on the tournament,s second day. Donald finished in a tie for 20th place with Georgia Tech,s Matt Kuchar.

Northwestern next competes at the Aldila Collegiate Classic at San Diego, Calif., March 7-9.
