Kaley Stroup decided to leave the Northwestern cross country team following the 2010 season.

2010: Competed in four races, posting a season-best 5K time of 20:25 at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational despite harsh winds and rain ... Ran one 6K race, finishing in 25:30 at the Bradley Classic ... Academic All-Big Ten.

2009: Competed in four meets ... Finished third on the team in two split-squad events, the Forester Invitational and the Illini Open ... Recorded her season best 5K time of 20:27 at the Forester Invite (9/26).

High School: Three-year letterwinner in cross country and three-year letterwinner in track ... Named all-city cross country and team MVP in 2007 ... Winner of the McCliman Service Award for leadership, scholarship and service in 2008 ... Member of school-record-holding and regional champion 3,200-meter relay team in track ... Track team won regional championship in 2009 ... Class valedictorian, National Merit Commended Scholar and National Honor Society member.

Personal: Born Kaley Anne Stroup ... Daughter of Ed Stroup and Laurie Beardsley ... Chose Northwestern over Michigan, Cal-Poly, RIT, Wisconsin and Minnesota ... Also competes in triathlons during summers ... Plans to major in statistics.
