WHY NORTHWESTERN?
I chose Northwestern because it has always been my dream school. Being recruited for cross country was an incredible feeling because I was able to attend a university that supported the career I wanted to pursue as well as continue competing.

GET TO KNOW WHITNEY OFF THE COURSE:
What are you studying? Any career goals? I am studying Biology on a Pre-Med track! My dream job is to become a pediatric dermatologist!
What do you love most about Northwestern Cross Country? I love the team and team environment of Northwestern Cross Country. Our team works together to become stronger runners through high mileage and hard workouts which can be really draining, but every day I look forward to coming together as a team and doing it together. We say “make the hard work fun” and our team truly does that. Every day there is a new story to tell, and a whole lot of laughter. I love how the team prioritizes team growth to become better as a whole, as well as individual growth as a runner and a human being.
Favorite memory of Northwestern Cross Country? My favorite memory would have to be getting stuck in Boston for a few extra days after our meet because of a huge snowstorm!
What do you love about running? I love the challenge of training and racing since it is just as much mentally challenging as physically challenging, and there is always a way to improve and become a better runner and version of yourself.
What hobbies do you enjoy? Outside of running I like to hang out with my friends, shop, watch tv, and walk/ do outdoor activities!
