Athletic training aides work with the physicians and athletic trainers in the Intercollegiate Sports Medicine department. They are assigned to one of the 19 varsity teams and gain knowledge and experience working with athletes at practices, games, and in the athletic training facilities. ATAs are provided the opportunity to learn hands-on allied health care while in the athletic setting.
Athletic training aides complete a Practicum in Athletic Allied Health Care through the School of Continuing Studies. Click this link for more details on the practicum.
