The Wildcats are returning to Evanston after a three-game road swing. The ‘Cats have won three straight at home and are unbeaten (6-0-1) in their last seven Big Ten home games, dating back to Oct. 5, 2025.

Last time out, Northwestern (5-7-3, 3-4-1 Big Ten) dropped a 2-1 decision at Maryland. After Maryland netted goals in the first and 58th minutes, senior midfielder Holland Carey pulled the ‘Cats within one with a 69th-minute rocket from distance, assisted by junior forward Alex Fallon. Fallon’s assist marked her team-high third assist and seventh point of the season, giving her back-to-back games with an assist.

#0Goalkeeper

Nyamma Nelson

Sophomore goalkeeper Nyamma Nelson posted a career-high nine saves in NU’s setback at Rutgers on Oct. 8, the most saves by a Wildcat goalkeeper since Mackenzie Wood collected 10 saves against Harvard on Sep. 8, 2019. Nelson has posted five clean sheets in 2026, bringing her career total to 15, the fourth-most in program history. Nelson’s 15 clean sheets rank second in program history for an underclassman, trailing only Lauren Clem’s 20 from 2014-15.

The Wildcats are 1-1 all-time against the Trojans, with one meeting in each of the last two seasons. Last year, the Wildcats knocked off the Trojans 1-0 in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinal in West Lafayette, Ind., behind Megan Norkett’s 85th-minute game winner.

USC (1-8-5, 0-5-3 Big Ten) has picked up draws in each of its last two matches, tying Illinois (1-1) and Indiana (2-2) last weekend. Junior defender/forward Lily Biddulph leads the Trojans with three goals on the season. Freshman goalkeeper Josie Biehl has posted a .734 save percentage to go along with a 1.56 goals against average this season.
