Women’s Golf to Begin 2026-27 Season at Badger Invitational

MADISON, Wis. – Following a season that saw them advance to the NCAA Championship Finals for the fourth consecutive season, Northwestern women’s golf is back in action to kick off the 2026-27 season at the Badger Invitational. This three-day event consists of 54 holes of play, running from Sunday (Sept. 13) through Tuesday (Sept. 15).

Players will tee off from holes one and 10 on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. Monday’s second round tee times will be determined from the leaderboard, while final round action will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.

The Field

The Wildcats are set to compete in a 16-team field alongside host-school Wisconsin, Boise State, Bradley, Colorado State, the University of Delaware, Florida International University, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, New Mexico State, Notre Dame, Sam Houston, Washington State and Western Kentucky University.

Live scoring from the par-72, 6,032-yard University Ridge will be available across all three rounds on Scoreboard.

Ashley Yun picked up her second career win at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional and placed second on the Wildcats with a scoring average of 73.46.

The ‘Cats

Last season, the Wildcats qualified for NCAA Regionals for the 16th consecutive year. Ashley Yun picked up her second career victory at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional as the ‘Cats advanced to the NCAA Championship Finals for the fourth consecutive season, where they finished 14th as a team.

Dianna Lee twice joined Yun as an individual winner in her senior season, taking victories at both the East Lake Cup and the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational, earning a place on the All-Big Ten Second Team. The ‘Cats picked up team victories at both the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational and the Windy City Collegiate Classic.

Following the Badger Invitational, Northwestern heads to Franklin, Tenn., for the Mason Rudolph Championship, September 18-20.
