Nollan Adds Gerry Ahead of 2025 Season

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern volleyball will welcome undergraduate transfer Gabrielle Gerry ahead of the 2025 season, Head Coach Tim Nollan announced Friday. Gerry, a middle blocker, comes to the 'Cats after two seasons at South Carolina.
"Gabrielle brings valuable experience from an NCAA Tournament team to Northwestern," said Nollan. "Her length will help strengthen our middle blocker core. She comes out of a very prestigious club and knows the value of hard work. I can't wait to get her in the gym!"
In two seasons in Columbia, Gerry appeared in 17 sets over 12 matches. Her tenure with the Gamecocks was highlighted by a career-high three-block performance in a sweep over VCU during her first-year campaign. During her second season with South Carolina, the team earned an NCAA Tournament berth following a 16-12 regular season.
Gerry also excelled in the classroom, earning a spot on the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll in 2024.
A native of Louisville, Ky., Gerry was a three-year varsity player at Assumption High School, where she helped the team to three straight district titles. Her high school career concluded with a trip to the state semifinal in 2022, following state quarterfinals appearances the previous two years. Gerry's senior season culminated in selection to the 2022 JVA Watch List.
"I'm so excited to continue my journey with Northwestern Volleyball because it offers the perfect balance of elite academics and top-tier volleyball in the Big Ten," said Gerry on the move. "The team culture and energy stood out to me right away, and I'm excited to grow both on and off the court with such a driven group. I can't wait to get started and represent the Wildcats!"
Gerry will reunite in Evanston with former teammate and fellow transfer Campbell Paris, who joined the 'Cats out of South Carolina in January. Including Paris, Gerry marks Nollan's fifth transfer pickup this offseason; Beste Ayhan, Ayah Elnady and Bella Simkus are also set to join the Wildcats ahead of the 2025 season.
