Northwestern set for ninth consecutive regional appearance
EVANSTON, Ill. (April 30, 2025) – The Northwestern University Men's Golf team will compete in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional, it was announced Wednesday. The 'Cats will be the No. 6 seed at Florida State's Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida.
Six 54-hole NCAA Regional tournaments will be conducted May 12-14. The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional will advance to the NCAA Men's Golf Championships. Team and individual titles will be contested May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
Head coach David Inglis has led the Wildcats to six Top 3 finishes this season, including wins at The Clerico and St. Andrews Links Collegiate. The 'Cats closed the regular season with back-to-back Top 3 showings at The Goodwin and Lewis Chitengwa Memorial.
Two 'Cats won individual titles this season. In late October, Cameron Adam, an Edinburgh, Scotland native, raced out of the gate in the opening round of The Clerico with a three-under-par 67 before posting back-to-back even-par 70s on the way to securing his first career collegiate victory with a three-under 207 (67-70-70). Junior Daniel Svärd, a two-time Big Ten Conference individual champion, was crowned co-champion of The Goodwin in Stanford, California, close to one month ago. Svärd tied for first on the leaderboard at 5-under (67-70-68=205) with four other golfers.
