Men’s Golf Places Fourth at Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational

VERO BEACH, Fla. (October 20, 2025) – Northwestern men's golf claimed their third straight top-5 team finish of the season, taking fourth place at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational in Vero Beach, Florida.
The Wildcats finished the event at 24-under-par, concluding with a team score of 840 (273-279-288). Sunday's final round of 273 marked the lowest round of the season so far for the 'Cats at 15-under.
Daniel Svärd paced the 'Cats at nine-under-par with a score of 207 (66-69-72) to place in a share of eighth for his third straight top-10 finish of the season. Svärd finished at par or better in all three rounds and matched his career low with a six-under 66 in his first round.
Joining Svärd in the top-25 were Rowan Sullivan and Jeremy Chen, who finished at six and five under respectively. Sullivan matched his Northwestern low-score with a five-under 67 in his first round while Chen picked up his second top-25 finish of the season.
Joining the trio in red figures was Monty Holcombe, with the first-year putting forward his best 54-hole effort of the season so far with a three-under 213 (72-69-72). Holcombe finished at par or better for all three rounds, highlighted by a three-under 69 in his second round.
Mark Gazi fired a one-under 71 in his opening round followed by an even-par 72 in his second round while Archie Finnie placed in 83rd as an individual.
