BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Northwestern wrestling (2-5, 0-4 B1G) returns to road action this weekend in Bloomington, Ind., where the 'Cats are set to take on the No. 23 Hoosiers (6-3, 2-3 B1G) on Big Ten Network. Action between the teams is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, February 1.

LAST TIME OUT
While the 'Cats are still in search of their first conference victory, they've seen impressive individual performances at each of their Big Ten duals. Most recently, No. 24 Sam Cartella (149 lbs) picked up an upset victory over No. 23 Drew Roberts in Northwestern's match-up with Minnesota last weekend. The victory was Cartella's fifth of dual action and his second in two weeks over a higher-ranked opponent.

Massey Odiotti won a 14-7 decision at 133 lbs to make it back-to-back victories in conference action for him, and Dedrick Navarro accounted for the 'Cats' final victory with a pin of Minnesota's Quincy Hulverson. Despite the efforts of Cartella, Odiotti and Navarro, the 'Cats fell 29-12 to the then-No. 8 Gophers at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

SCOUTING INDIANA
Northwestern has won seven of its last eight meetings with the Hoosiers dating back to 2011. The run of success includes the most recent match-up, which took place last February at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Massey Odiotti (125 lbs), Dedrick Navarro (133 lbs), Trevor Chumbley (157 lbs) and Evan Bates (197 lbs) all picked up individual victories in that match, which ended 19-18 in the Wildcats' favor.

This season, the Hoosiers are 6-3 in dual action, with conference victories over Purdue and Michigan State. Most recently, they fell to No. 18 Michigan on the road, with the Wolverines taking seven of ten bouts. Still, Indiana enters action this weekend with eight of ten wrestlers in InterMat's most recent rankings. The group is headlined by No. 16 Tyler Lillard at 165 lbs.
