Wildcats Open Season at Boston University

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women's soccer is set to lift the lid on the 2024 season with a road contest at Boston University at 5 p.m. CT on ESPN+.

Scouting the Opposition
Thursday's matchup will mark the fifth all-time meeting between Northwestern and BU on the pitch. The series is tied 2-2. Last season, Northwestern downed the Terriers 3-0 at Martin Stadium in Evanston. Megan Norkett tallied her first career goal and the Wildcats outshot BU 19-3 en route to the victory. The Terriers finished last season 7-7-6 (4-3-2 Patriot League) and were picked to finish third in the Patriot League Preseason Poll. Three Terriers (Natalie Godoy, Giulianna Gianino, and Eileen Solomon) earned Preseason All-Patriot League honors.

- Josie Aulicino enters her fifth season in Evanston ranking third in program history in career goals (22), second in career assists (28), and third in career points (72). The midfielder earned All-Big Ten honors in 2021 and 2022 and All-North Region honors in 2022.
- In July, Caterina Regazzoni was called into Switzerland National Team camp for 2025 UEFA European Women's Championship Qualifying.
- A two-time All-Big Ten honoree, Emma Phillips has started 52 games over three seasons in Evanston. Phillips led all Wildcats with 1,611 minutes played in 2022. The Munster, Ind. native notched a career-high seven goals in 2022.
- Megan Norkett looks to follow up on a standout freshman campaign where she scored three goals and two assists, earning Big Ten All-Freshman team honors.
