Men's Tennis to Take on No. 4 Columbia

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Wildcats return home on Friday to take on the No. 4 Columbia Lions at 7:30 p.m. in Combe Tennis Center. It will be men's tennis' second-to-last match of non-conference play this season.
The 'Cats (5-9) are looking to break a three-match losing streak in their return home. Most recently, they fell 0-4 in a rematch with No. 8 Harvard in Cambridge, leaving three singles matches unfinished. Notably, Presley Thieneman had been leading No. 11 Cooper Williams, but didn't have the opportunity to close out a tight match.
The Lions (8-2) are coming to Evanston with just two losses on the season–one of them also to Harvard. The team is led by No. 15 Michael Zheng in singles and the No. 24 doubles pairing of Max Westphal and Nicholas Kotzen.
After Friday's match, Northwestern is back on the road to take on Notre Dame in South Bend on March 8 at 3 p.m. CT, their final non-conference foe before they'll prepare for Big Ten play.
