EUGENE, ORE. - Northwestern continues their three-game road trip when they travel to Eugene to face the Big Ten newcomer No. 11 Oregon Ducks on Friday evening in Eugene. First serve between the 'Cats (5-17, 3-11 B1G) and the Ducks (18-5, 10-4) is set for 8 p.m. CT and can be viewed on B1G+.

STORYLINES:
  • Junior Kennedy Hill was dominant for the 'Cats in their win over Iowa on Sunday, matching her career high with 11 blocks while also racking up 11 kills to log her second career double-double. Hill's 106 blocks this season rank fifth in the Big Ten and her rate of 1.29 per set is good for sixth in the conference and 35th in the country.
  • Alexa Rousseau helped out 'Cats attackers in a big way versus the Hawkeyes, posting 20 assists to go along with 11 kills for her 11th double-double of the season. She's reached the 20-assist mark in five of her last eight games, and her 5.83 assists per set ranks 21st in the Big Ten.
  • The Wildcats recorded 14 total blocks on Sunday, their most as a team since they reached 16 at Maryland on Sept. 26. Northwestern also saw strong individual performances from Buse Hazan, who chipped in ten kills, Rylen Reid, who racked up six kills and four blocks, and Drew Wright, who logged 12 digs for her seventh game in a row with double digits in the category.

THE MATCH-UP:
  • Northwestern and Oregon have only faced off four times in their history, and the series is even at two wins apiece. The teams first faced off in 1985, and the teams most recently met on August 26, 2023, in Honolulu, Hawaii, when the Ducks captured a three-set win.
  • Oregon boasts a strong 18-5 record and a No. 10 national rank so far this season. The Ducks are 10-4 in conference play and are coming off a 2-2 record in their last four games, most recently sweeping Minnesota on the road.

UP NEXT:
The Wildcats finish off their west coast trip with a matchup against conference foe Washington in Seattle on Sunday. First serve between the 'Cats and the Huskies is set for 3 p.m. CT on B1G+.
