Barnhizer Named Preseason All-Big Ten

EVANSTON, Ill. – Brooks Barnhizer was named to the 2024-25 Preseason All-Big Ten Team, as chosen by a select media panel, the conference announced on Tuesday.

The honor comes after Barnhizer earned Third Team All-Big Ten and All-Defensive Team honors in 2023-24. The Lafayette, Ind. native appeared and started in all 34 games, averaging 14.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game in 36.7 minutes per game, becoming the first player in Big Ten history to record 14.6-plus points, 7.5-plus rebounds, 2.6-plus assists, 1.8-plus steals, and 0.8-plus blocks per game for a single season.

Barnhizer's 10 double-doubles ranked fourth in the Big Ten and third in program single-season history. Barnhizer became the first Wildcat guard to record 10 points/rebound double-doubles in a single-season.
