EVANSTON, Ill. — Sullivan-Ubben Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Collins announced the addition of Luke McEldon to the Northwestern roster on Tuesday. A 6-foot-10, 255-pound forward, McEldon has two years of eligibility remaining.

"Luke McEldon is a physical frontline player coming off an outstanding season at Mount Saint Mary's," said Collins. "Luke brings an element to our team that is in high demand: a low-post presence. His ability to match up with the size and physicality of post players in the Big Ten is essential to competing at the highest level. Luke fits in perfectly with his high character and work ethic, and we couldn't be more excited to have him in a Wildcat uniform next season."

McEldon joins the Wildcats after a standout redshirt sophomore season at Mount Saint Mary's. Starting 29 of his 30 appearances in 2025-26, McEldon averaged 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists. 0.6 blocks and 0.4 steals per game. He shot an efficient 64.5% from the field.

McEldon scored a career-high 25 points in a win over Niagara on Feb. 20. He posted double digit points on 16 occasions.

Prior to his time at The Mount, the London native spent two seasons at Santa Clara. He played in 14 games with the Broncos.

McEldon attended Cushing Academy (Mass.), where he was a three-star recruit in the class of 2023. The New England Recruiting Report ranked McEldon as the No. 4 prospect in Massachusetts and the No. 12 player in New England.
