Wildcat Family,
I am looking forward to Northwestern Football returning to Ryan Field this weekend. Our team has worked hard preparing for this season and I am proud of what they've accomplished during camp. We can't wait to come back home and play in front of - and for - the Northwestern community.
Your investment within our program directly impacts the success of our student-athletes and your fandom means more now than ever. We hope to see you at Ryan Field this fall, as we place a collective effort in supporting these young men through their journeys in football, academia, and life.

Since 1997, when Dyche Stadium was renamed to Ryan Field, the Wildcats are 16-10 in home openers. In its last 10 home openers, Northwestern is 5-5. The Wildcats have played seven Power 5 opponents in its last 10 home openers, the most in the country over that span.
- The Wildcats dropped the season opener 24-7 at Rutgers last week, marking the first game in program history played on a Sunday. After allowing 17 points in the first half, the Northwestern defense settled in during the second stanza, allowing only one score and 102 total yards. Offensively, transfer quarterback Ben Bryant completed 20-of-36 passes for 169 yards in his Northwestern debut. Transfer wide receivers Cam Johnson (4 receptions, 45 yards) and A.J. His mark is the single-game high in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) this season and is the first Wildcat to tally 19 stops since Chris Bergin in 2019 against Minnesota. The senior was one tackle short of becoming the first Northwestern player to reach 20 tackles in a game since current assistant coach Tim McGarigle posted 21 stops against Michigan in 2005.
