Northwestern Men’s Basketball Announces 2023-24 Non-Conference Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. — The Northwestern men's basketball team has released its non-conference schedule ahead of the 2023-24 season. The slate features seven home games inside Welsh-Ryan Arena, highlighted by a tilt against Dayton.
Season tickets are available now. Northwestern will face Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Penn State, Maryland, Nebraska and Minnesota at home in Big Ten play on dates to be announced.
In preparation for the start of the season, the Wildcats will host Division II McKendree in an exhibition game on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
The 'Cats will kick off the '23-24 campaign inside Welsh-Ryan arena against Binghamton on Monday, Nov. 6. Later that week, Dayton makes the drive up I-65 to Evanston on Friday, Nov. 10. Northwestern caps off its three-game home stand against Western Michigan on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
The 'Cats then pack their bags for a weekend trip to the East Coast for the Hall of Fame Tip-Off at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Northwestern will face Rhode Island on Saturday, Nov. 18, and either Mississippi State or Washington State on Sunday, Nov. 19.
Following the Thanksgiving break, the 'Cats will host a trio of teams in Welsh-Ryan Arena, beginning with Northern Illinois on Monday, Nov. 27. Upon conclusion of finals week, Northwestern will face Detroit Mercy on Sunday, Dec. 10, followed by a date with Chicagoland foe Chicago State on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
The 'Cats will take on a second-straight Windy City opponent in DePaul at Wintrust Arena on Saturday, Dec. 16. Following that game, Northwestern travels west for a tilt against Arizona State at Footprinter Center in Phoenix, Arizona, on Wednesday, Dec. 20, in a matchup that is part of Jerry Colangelo's Hall of Fame Series.
Non-conference play wraps up at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Friday, Dec. 29, with a clash against Jackson State.
