EVANSTON, Ill. — With her five goal performance over the weekend Madison Taylor earned her fourth straight Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors and her first Midfielder of the Week honors.

Taylor had a hat trick and three ground balls against Vanderbilt and added two more tallies, an assist and a ground ball against Youngstown State to earn the two awards. The first-year has yet to score less than two goals in any game and is the only person to take home Big Ten Freshman of the Week so far this season.

The last Wildcat to win four straight Big Ten Freshman of the week honors was Izzy Scane, who managed to earn six straight (3/19/19-4/23/19) before going on to take home Big Ten Freshman of the Year.

The Wantagh, N.Y. native won her first weekly award for her five-goal debut against Syracuse, becoming the first Wildcat to score at least five goals in their first collegiate game since 2007. Her second honor came for her performance in Northwestern's wins over Notre Dame and Boston College which culminated in five goals. Taylor's last award came for her two goals and game-high eight draw controls against Marquette.
