IOWA CITY, Iowa – No. 22 Northwestern heads on the road for the first time this Big Ten season for a meeting with the Iowa Hawkeyes. After weather altered the Friday matchup, first pitch is set for 3 p.m. CT, while Sunday's doubleheader will begin at 12 pm CT.

Riding an eight-game winning streak, Northwestern (18-8, 3-0 B1G) is coming off a 20-1 rout of DePaul on Tuesday. It is only the third time in program history that the Wildcats have scored 20+ runs in a game (21 vs. UIC, 4/26/22; 22 vs Virginia, 2/12/16). 

Lauren Boyd took home Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors for the first time in her career after a phenomenal couple of outings. Boyd went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and one complete game last week, scattering nine hits and striking out nine in 8.0 innings in her two appearances. 

Ayana Lindsey continues to heat up as the season moves along. Lindsey is hitting .310 (9-for-29) with 6 RBI, 12 runs scored and two triples since NU's March 4 game at Louisville. In the Big Ten Opener vs. Minnesota on March 24, Lindsey reached base in each of her four plate appearances, tying her career high with three hits along with a walk, three runs scored, a triple and a RBI.

Danielle Williams holds a 7-0 record with a 0.23ERA (1 ER/39.0 IP), 56 strikeouts and 17 hits allowed in seven career appearances against Iowa. 

Iowa is 21-13 on the season and 3-2 in conference play. The Wildcats have won its last eight series vs. Iowa dating back to the 2014 season, posting a 21-5 record over the Hawkeyes in that span.
