EVANSTON, Ill. — The No. 2 Northwestern lacrosse team will play a pair of games this week as it travels to Johns Hopkins at Noon CT on Thursday, March 23 for a Big Ten Conference tilt before returning home to Ryan Fieldhouse for non-conference action at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, March 26 against Stanford.

- Northwestern won a pair of home games last week, defeating No. 17 Michigan 16-8 on Thursday in the Big Ten opener, before recording an impressive 13-9 triumph over No. 1 North Carolina on Sunday. The Wildcats won their first game over the nation's No. 1 team since 2019 (Maryland) and handed UNC its first regular season loss since 2019.
- Izzy Scane earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring 11 total goals (7 vs. Michigan, 4 vs. North Carolina). She won the award for the third time this season and eighth time in her career. Madison Taylor continued her impressive rookie campaign by adding five points, four draw controls and two ground balls in the pair of top-25 wins. Taylor earned the award for the fifth time this season.
- Northwestern is 8-1 through the season's first nine games for the third time in the last 10 years, as it went 9-0 in 2021 and 8-1 in 2013.
- Following its two home wins last week, Northwestern has won 27 straight home games, the third longest streak in the nation trailing North Carolina (39) and Stony Brook (31), both teams the 'Cats defeated in Evanston this season. Northwestern's longest home winning streak is 58 games from 2004-10.
- Northwestern's eight game winning streak is tied for the second-longest active streak in the country. The Wildcats have won three straight games against nationally ranked competition (No. 4 Stony Brook, No. 17 Michigan, No. 1 North Carolina).
- As a team, the 'Cats boast the second-highest scoring offense in the country posting 17.7 goals per game, while also ranking fourth in scoring defense (7.3 goals per game). The 'Cats are the only team in the country to rank in the top four in both scoring offense and scoring defense.
- Scane leads the nation with 46 goals and a 6.57 goals per game average.
- Graduate transfer Hailey Rhatigan has scored 14 goals in five games this year for the Wildcats. Prior to transferring to Northwestern, Rhatigan played four years at Mercer where she is the program's career leader in goals. The grad student is the NCAA's active leader with 242 career goals. The tandem of Rhatigan and Scane have combined for 481 career goals.
- Head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller is 339-88 in her career and 95-25 during conference play during her 22 seasons at Northwestern.
- Northwestern is 18-4 all-time against Johns Hopkins, winning six straight games and nine of the last 10. In the last meeting, the Wildcats won 19-12 at Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium in 2022. NU has won 10 straight against the Cardinal and are 10-1 all-time. The two teams are meeting for the first time since 2020, a 25-18 'Cats win.
