Wildcats and Hoyas to Meet in 2022 Gavitt Tipoff Games

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern men's basketball team will participate in the 2022 Gavitt Tipoff Games and travel to face Georgetown for the first time in program history on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Entering its seventh season of existence, the Gavitt Tipoff Games consist of eight contests between Big Ten Conference and BIG EAST schools.
The Wildcats will be competing in the event for the fourth time and first time since 2019. NU defeated Providence, 72-63, on Nov. 13, 2019, inside Welsh-Ryan Arena. NU is 1-2 in the Gavitt Tipoff Games, dropping contests to Butler (2016, 70-68) and Creighton (2017, 92-88).
Tip times and television designations will be announced at a later date, with all eight games appearing on either FS1 or BTN.
