Northwestern Basketball to Host Evanston Day on Dec. 17

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern men's basketball will host Evanston Day at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Saturday, December 17, when the Wildcats host the DePaul Blue Demons in a local non-conference clash. Discounted tickets priced as low as $35 will be available to all City of Evanston residents, and community leaders will be recognized during the game.
Initial access to promotional codes for discounted admission will be distributed to subscribers of 'Cats Community Connection, the newsletter established to regularly inform campus neighbors and other Evanstonians of events, news and special offers.
Evanston Day has been a tradition for Northwestern football at Ryan Field for many years, and the December 17 basketball game will be the inaugural edition of the opportunity inside Welsh-Ryan Arena. The Wildcats are currently 6-2 this season following a convincing road win over No. 20 Michigan State earlier this week to tip off Big Ten play.
As part of ongoing efforts to engage with Evanston residents to share information and field questions about the university's plans to rebuild Ryan Field, an outreach team of Northwestern ambassadors is actively engaging with community members throughout all parts of the city. Additionally, open office hours are regularly scheduled for residents to stop-in and learn more about the plans.
