EVANSTON, Ill. –– Northwestern Women's Soccer (12-2-2, 6-1-1) celebrates eight players for Senior night when it hosts Iowa (4-6-6, 1-3-4) Thursday night. The contest kicks off at 7 p.m. CT on B1G+.
Last time out, the Wildcats fell to No. 15 Michigan State, their first loss in 13 games and first loss in conference play. After falling behind 2-0 early, the Wildcats fought back. In the 55th minute, Aurea del Carmen drew a penalty, setting up Rowan Lapi for her third penalty kick goal of the season to cut the Spartan lead in half. The 'Cats continued to push for the equalizer, but the 2-1 scoreline held until the final whistle.
