EVANSTON, Ill. –– Northwestern Women's Soccer (12-2-2, 6-1-1) celebrates eight players for Senior night when it hosts Iowa (4-6-6, 1-3-4) Thursday night. The contest kicks off at 7 p.m. CT on B1G+. 

Last time out, the Wildcats fell to No. 15 Michigan State, their first loss in 13 games and first loss in conference play. After falling behind 2-0 early, the Wildcats fought back. In the 55th minute, Aurea del Carmen drew a penalty, setting up Rowan Lapi for her third penalty kick goal of the season to cut the Spartan lead in half. The 'Cats continued to push for the equalizer, but the 2-1 scoreline held until the final whistle.

Iowa comes into Thursday night's showdown after thrashing Nebraska 4-0. Hailey Rydberg scored two goals for the Hawkeyes in the rout. She leads Iowa in goals (5) and is tied for the team lead in assists (4). Macy Enneking has taken over goalkeeping duties in recent weeks, posting shutouts in two games this season. Sitting at ninth in the Big Ten, the Hawkeyes are currently battling three other teams for the last spot in the Big Ten Tournament.

The Wildcats lead the all-time series against Iowa 15-7-3, with Iowa taking last season's meeting in Iowa City, 2-1. The 'Cats have won two of the last three in the series.

Northwestern closes out the regular season Sunday at 1 p.m. CT at No. 17 Ohio State in Columbus. The game will be broadcast on B1G+.
