Wildcats Drop 4-2 Decision Against No. 25 Michigan

The loss moved Northwestern to 8-5 on the season and 7-4 in the Big Ten.
The Wildcats secured the doubles point behind a big win from the No. 13 duo in the country of Nick Brookes and Simen Bratholm, who defeated the 23rd ranked pairing of Andrew Fenty and Mattias Siimar, 6-3. Chris Ephron and Dominik Stary clinched the point with a dominant 7-0 tiebreak to cap off a 7-6 set at No. 2
Gleb Blekher outlasted Connor Johnson 6-3,3-6, 6-4 for the lone Wildcats' singles win of the day at No. 6.
Brookes took Ondrej Styler, ranked No. 50 in the country, to three sets after winning the first and Bratholm and Ehpron both played in tiebrekaks in competitive matches.
Dominik Stary was up a break in the third en-route to a comeback win against No. 124 Andrew Fenty, but the match was called at 3-6, 6-3, 4-2 when Michigan clinched.
Northwestern continues a four-match homestand next weekend against Minnesota and Wisconsin with the Gophers coming to town on Friday.
