EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Wildcats dropped a Sunday Night showdown against the No. 21-ranked Wisconsin Badgers, 68-51 at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

Sophomore guard Boo Buie led the 'Cats in scoring for the third time this season, notching 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting while adding four assists. The Albany native recorded the sixth-best scoring performance of his career, second best on the season.

Buie was the story in the first half, scoring NU's first seven points. The sophomore finished the stanza with 11 points to lead the charge for the Wildcats.

Northwestern protected the paint in the second period, swatting three shots at the rim. Chase Audige, Miller Kopp, and Pete Nance contributed to the effort with one block each. Audige has now recorded a block and a steal in three of his last four games.

Sunday's game also marked Northwestern's 12th contest vs. an opponent ranked in the AP-Top 25 this season, setting a new single-season program record.

Chicago's Big Ten Team will travel to the Twin Cities for a Thursday night contest against the Minnesota Gophers. The game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network at 8 p.m. CT.
