Wildcats to Host Tri-Dual vs. Virginia/SIUE

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern wrestling will host a tri-dual with SIU-Edwardsville and Virginia at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Wednesday, December 29.
The adjusted schedule adds two non-conference matches to the Wildcats' 2021-22 schedule prior to the start of Big Ten competition on January 7. The dual schedule for Wednesday will go as follows:
10 am CT – Virginia vs. SIUE
12 pm CT – SIUE vs. Northwestern
2 pm CT – Virginia vs. Northwestern
Northwestern and SIUE were originally scheduled to meet in Evanston on November 12 in a dual that was postponed. This will mark the 13th dual meeting between NU and SIUE, with the Wildcats holding an 11-1 series advantage over the Cougars.
Wednesday also marks just the second-ever dual meeting between Northwestern and Virginia, with the programs having also met in November of 2006 (a 24-12 NU victory).

Admission will be free for all fans interested in attending the dual, with doors opening at 9 am CT. Current COVID-19 policies from the city of Evanston will still be in effect and can be found HERE.
