ROSEMONT, Ill. — Northwestern football sophomores Evan Hull and Peter Skoronski earned All-Big Ten recognition from the league's coaches and media, announced by the Conference Wednesday.
Â
Skoronski is a first team honoree by the media and second team coaches' selection. He has started 21 straight games at the left tackle position. The Park Ridge, Illinois, was a first team Pro Football Focus All-Big Ten selection in 2021. Skoronski helped pave the way for running back Evan Hull, who racked up 1,009 rushing yards – NU's first 1,000-yard rusher since Justin Jackson did so in 2017.
Â
Hull earned consensus honorable mention recognition for his play in 2021. In addition to going over 1,000 yards, he posted a 5.15 yards per carry average and finished the campaign with seven rushing touchdowns – most for an NU player since Clayton Thorson had eight in 2018. Hull ranked third on the team with 33 receptions that he turned into 264 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The 5.15 yards per carry clip ranks sixth all-time in single-season program history.
