EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern welcomes New Orleans to Welsh-Ryan Arena on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT and will be streamed live on B1G+.

The Wildcats are off to a 2-0 start, defeating Eastern Illinois last Tuesday, 80-56, and High Point on Friday, 95-60, to kick off the season.

After heading into halftime with a one-point lead against High Point, the 'Cats exploded for 61 points in the second half on 25-of-32 shooting.

Northwestern's 34-point scoring margin in the second half is its most in a half since outscoring Chicago State by 47 points in the first half on Dec. 11, 2017.

Pete Nance, Ryan Young, Boo Buie, and Ryan Greer all tallied 15+ points, the first time four Wildcats have scored 15 or more points in the same game since 2014. Nance and Young also became the first Wildcat duo with 20+ points in the same game since Vic Law and AJ Turner did so in 2018.

Young's 20 points came on 8-of-8 shooting, becoming the first Northwestern player to shoot 100% from the field on eight or more shots since Dererk Pardon went 8-for-8 against Wisconsin on Feb. 1, 2018.

The 'Cats shot 61.4% (35-for-57) from the field against High Point, their highest shooting percentage in a game since 2010.

Northwestern is 4-0 all-time against New Orleans, including an 82-52 win in the last matchup on Nov. 8, 2018.
