'Cats Fall to No. 24 Wisconsin in Final Road Test

MADISON, Wis. - The Wildcats came up short on Wednesday night, falling 63-48 to the 24th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers in the Kohl Center.
Sophomore Pete Nance led all scorers with 14 points, marking the sixth time this season he has led Northwestern in scoring. Pat Spencer stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
In the first half it was the big men who got things done. Robbie Beran, Ryan Young, and Pete Nance combined for 21 of Northwestern's 28 first half points. Sophomore Pete Nance was impressive off the bench, leading all scorers with eight points while also roping in four boards.
Pat Spencer made some impressive plays down the stretch scoring 7 second half points to go along with five boards and three assists. Pete Nance kept up his strong night posting a solid six points.
Northwestern had a strong second stanza defensively, only allowing 29 points on 9-of-28 shooting (32.1%).
Chicago's Big Ten Team will travel back home to Welsh-Ryan Arena for the final game of the regular season to play the 20th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday for Senior Day. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. CT.
