#6 Wildcats to Host #7 Syracuse Saturday Night at Ryan Fieldhouse

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 6 Northwestern Women's Lacrosse is back in action this weekend with a top-10 showdown as they host No. 7 Syracuse this Saturday, February 22 in the Ryan Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.
The Wildcats heads into the game following a dominating, 28-12 win over ASU last Sunday. Scoring 23 points in the first half, the 'Cats set a new record for the most points ever scored in a single half under Combe Family Head Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller. Fourteen individual 'Cats recorded goals, with junior Lauren Gilbert leading the team with 5 in just the first half.
Junior Brennan Dwyer also grabbed a single-game program record, 21 draw controls, set in 2017 by Assistant Coach Shelby Fredericks. Dwyer's 21 draws also ties for the fourth most in any game in division one history.
Saturday marks the 20th matchup between these two programs, with the 'Cats leading all-time meetings ups 14-5. NU took the last meeting 18-14 to advance to the NCAA semifinals at Homewood Field.
Following the match-up against Syracuse, the 'Cats stay at home to host Stanford on Sunday, March 1 at 12 p.m.
