NU has had its fair share of success when facing the Hawkeyes away from Ryan Field recently, having won at Kinnick Stadium in 2018 and 2016.  The 2018 victory notably served as the clincher that sent the 'Cats to their first Big Ten Championship Game and awarded them with the Big Ten West title. Head Coach Kirk Ferentz, who in his 22nd season owns the most wins all-time for any Iowa coach (162), is below .500 in his career against NU (9-10). Dan and Susan Jones Family Head Football Coach Pat Fitzgerald is 8-6 in his career against the Iowahaving won three of the last four when facing the Hawkeyes.
