EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern hosts Iowa on Sunday for its second straight home game televised nationally on Big Ten Network. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.

The Wildcats enter the contest at 12-1 and 2-0 in the Big Ten after knocking off No. 12 Maryland, 81-58, on Tuesday. Iowa owns a 10-3 record and a 1-1 mark in conference play.

Northwestern has started the season 12-1 only five times previously in program history, and once under head coach Joe McKeown, in 2014-15.

Junior Lindsey Pulliam leads the offense, averaging 19.1 points per game, a career-best mark that also ranks second in the Big Ten and 19th in the nation. She has scored 20+ points in both of her first two conference games, including a season-high 27 points at Illinois.

Sophomore Veronica Burton is coming off a career-best performance against Maryland, with a career-high 23 points coming from a 14-15 performance at the free-throw line. She also tied her career-high with six steals to maintain her spot atop the conference leaderboard for steals per game with a mark of 3.7.

The Wildcats boast the best scoring defense in the Big Ten and the sixth best in the country, holding opponents to an average of 51.2 points per game. The 'Cats also rank first in the conference and fifth in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio with a mark of 1.53.

Three Hawkeyes rank in the top 10 of the Big Ten for points per game, including senior Kathleen Doyle (17.2), sophomore Monika Czinano (15.2), and senior Makenzie Meyer (15.0). The Hawkeyes are the only team with multiple athletes averaging 15 points or more.

Sunday's game on BTN will have Lisa Byington and Tyra Buss on the call.
