Seidman Notches Win Against No. 2 Ohio State

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern fell to No. 2 Ohio State Friday evening in a match at the Combe Tennis Center.
 
Several Wildcats played well against the Buckeyes, who are now a perfect 8-0 in the conference to go with a seven-match win streak and 23-2 mark overall for the campaign.
 
The visitors took the first point of the match with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. At No. 1, Dominik Stary and Chris Ephron were in a tight set against the No. 30 pair in the nation, JJ Wolf and Martin Joyce, but the contest went unfinished.
 
In singles play, Jason Seidman picked up a victory for NU at No. 6. Taking on Hunter Tubert, Seidman won the first set but dropped the second before coming back to take the third and win the contest.
 
Chris Ephron also impressed as he faced off against Joyce at No. 3 singles. Ephron cruised to a 6-3 win in the first set before narrowly dropping both the second and third sets in tiebreakers.
 
The Buckeyes took the remaining singles matchups to win the match by a final score of 6-1.
 
Chicago's Big Ten Team will be back in action on Sunday afternoon as it hosts No. 35 Penn State. The action is set to start at noon CT and will take place at the Combe Tennis Center.
