EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern will take the short trip north to Milwaukee take on Marquette, their first Big East foe of the season on Saturday.
 
This week, the Wildcats claimed two of the three Big Ten Weekly Awards, with senior Selena Lasota winning her sixth Offensive Player of the Week and first-year Izzy Scane claiming her first Freshman of the Week award.
 
The last time these two teams matched up, NU came away with 11-goal victory. The 'Cats will take the field Saturday night at 7 pm at Valley Fields.
 
LASOTA GOAL WATCH
After a record-setting nine-goal game against Rutgers, senior Selena Lasota is on pace to claim a top-20 spot on the  NCAA Women's Lacrosse all-time goals list. She currently has 229 career scores and is second among all active players for career points and goals.  Lasota also claims the No. 3 spot on the NU all-time goals list.
 
WEEKLY HONORS
Senior Selena Lasota and first-year Izzy Scane received their first Big Ten Weekly Honor of the season. Lasota earned her sixth Offensive Player of the Week honor, while Scane earned her first Freshman of the Week honor this year.
 
LEADING THE NATION
First-year Izzy Scane is currently leading the nation in shot percentage thorough eight games, shooting .727 pct on 16 goals.
 
B1G LEAD
The  Wildcats lead the Big Ten in draw controls per game (16.88), points per game (25.63), scoring offense (18.50) and shot percentage (.529), shots on goal per game (12) and assists per game (7.13)  through eight games.
 
HOT STREAK
Sophomores Lindsey McKone and Lauren Gilbert have each scored at least one goal in the eight games this season. McKone and Gilbert have totaled 16 and 23 goals respectively.
 
RACK EM' UP
The 'Cats have scored 148 goals through their first eight games. The Wildcats are ranked No. 3 in the country in scoring offense, averaging 18.50  goals per game, and fourth in points per game. NU has five student-athletes with double digit goals this season in Selena Lasota (27), Lauren Gilbert (23),  Lindsey McKone (16), Izzy Scane (16) and Claire Quinn (13).
