EVANSTON, Ill. –  In the 18th season under Combe Family Head Lacrosse Head Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller, No. 7 Northwestern will begin the 2019 season this Friday at the new Ryan Fieldhouse and Wilson Field against Louisville at 7 p.m.

HOME SWEET FIELDHOUSE
Northwestern Lacrosse will be the first Wildcat team to play a game on Wilson Field at Ryan Fieldhouse, which was a part of the construction of the state of the art Walter Athletics Center that opened in 2018.

BACK LIKE WE NEVER LEFT
The Wildcats return 29 letter-winners to the 2019 roster. The returning 'Cats include 10 seniors, six juniors and 13 sophomores. Among those returning will be four players who earned Big Ten weekly honors winners and three of their top five scorers.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Senior attacker Selena Lasota and redshirt sophomore goal keeper Julie Krupnick were named to the 2019 IWLCA preseason All-American team. Lasota earned first team honors and Krupnick was honorable mention.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
The Wildcats will kick off their season with three home games before going on a three-game road stretch beginning February 24 at Syracuse. The 'Cats will split the season with eight road and eight home games that will be played on Wilson Field at Ryan Fieldhouse and Martin Stadium.

PARTY WITH TEAM USA
Back in February, Coach Amonte Hiller was named as the head coach of the US Lacrosse U19 team and put together a topnotch staff including former Wildcats Ann Elliott Whidden ('07) , Brooke Matthews ('11) and Angela McMahon ('04). The team was recently cut to the top 23, four of which are current NU players, Madison Doucette, Elle Hansen, Ally Palermo and Izzy Scane.

Chicago's Big Ten Team will face off against the Cardinals for the eighth time in the programs' histories. These teams last faced off at Martin Stadium in 2017 where the 'Cats clinched their fifth win of the season defeating Louisville, 12-8.
