PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Northwestern fell 2-0 to Rutgers on the road Sunday afternoon at Yurcak Field.
The Wildcats are now 4-6-1 overall and .500 in the Big Ten with a 2-2-1 record. Rutgers improved to 9-2-1 and 3-2 in conference.
Sophomore Mackenzie Wood made a number of strong saves in goal and finished the afternoon with six.
Chicago's Big Ten Team returns home for a two game homestand and has four of its last six conference matchups at Martin Stadium. The 'Cats welcome Michigan State to Evanston on Friday for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
