EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern battled back from an early deficit to defeat Michigan State 2-1 Friday night at Martin Stadium.
First-year student Lily Gilbertson netted her first career goal in the 14th minute and graduate student Olivia Korhonen put in the game-deciding goal on a 58thminute header assisted by sophomore Olivia Stone.
The goal was the second of Korhonen's career, with the first coming against Michigan on October 9, 2016.
