Wildcats Play Purdue to a Stalemate in Home Conference Opener

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern battled Purdue to a 0-0 draw after double overtime on a chilly Thursday night at Martin Stadium.
With the scoreless stalemate, Northwestern moved to 2-1-1 in Big Ten Play and 4-5-2 overall.
Sophomore goalkeeper Mackenzie Wood continued her strong form in goal and made six saves over 110 minute while posting the shutout. It was the 11th clean sheet of her career, giving her sole possession of fifth place in program history for shutouts.
Chicago's Big Ten Team is back in action for its fourth road game out of the first five in conference at Rutgers on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
