The Northwestern men's soccer team hosts No. 5 Indiana in a Big Ten matchup at Martin Stadium, Tuesday,  Oct. 1 on Big Ten Network. The Wildcats have won four of their last five games, with their most recent match resulting in a hard-fought draw against Ohio State. Earlier this season, Head Coach Tim Lenahan picked up his 300th career win, becoming just the second active Big Ten head coach with 300+ victories. The Wildcats are lead by senior Matt Moderwell and sophomore Bardia Kimiavi who have notched eight points apiece this season. After wrapping up their three game homestand, the Wildcats will travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor for a Big Ten Sunday showdown.

No. 7 Northwestern extended its winning streak to eight this past weekend with a 4-1 win vs. No. 24 Michigan State on Friday, followed by a dramatic 1-0 shutout victory over No. 9 Michigan on Sunday at Lakeside Field. The win marked the Wildcats' first victory over Michigan in five years and improved their conference record this season to a perfect 3-0. On Monday, red-shirt first-year Bente Baekers was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for a third-straight week, while junior goalkeeper Florien Marcussen was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.

The Wildcats will be back in action at Lakeside Field this Thursday for another marquee matchup against No. 4 Maryland, the game begins at 2:30 p.m. CT and the action will also be televised live on BTN. Later this weekend, the 'Cats travel to Newton, Mass. for a showdown against Maine at 1:30 p.m CT on Sunday.

Northwestern is coming off an impressive 2-0 weekend on the road with wins over Nebraska and Iowa. The Wildcats are now 2-1 and fourth place in the Big Ten as they return to Martin Stadium for their home conference opener on Thursday. Martin Stadium will be hosting Throwback Thursday and Youth Soccer Night for the 7 p.m. kickoff against Purdue and will be giving out vuvuzelas to all fans. 

The Wildcats will hit the road again on Sunday to take on Rutgers, who were ranked No. 13 last week in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Both matches this weekend will be streamed on BTN+.

Northwestern will host the annual Wildcat Invite at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center in Evanston. Four 'Cats competed in the Milwaukee Classic last month, but for many the Invite will be their first action of the season.

The Wildcats will then travel to Oklahoma to compete in the 2019 ITA Women's All-American Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The competition will begin with pre-qualifying rounds on October 5-6, qualifying rounds on October 7-8 and main draws on October 9-13.

The Wildcats kicked off Big Ten play with two home matches against Iowas and #3 Nebraska. The 'Cats challenged both teams before falling 3-1 and 3-0 respectively. First-year Temi Thomas-Ailara led the weekend with 31 kills between the two games. The Illinois native also tallied six serving aces and 11 digs. Juniors Alana Walker and Nia Robinson added 36 kills, six blocks and two digs. 

This weekend, Northwestern will hit the road to try and capture their first Big Ten win as they take on Purdue on Oct 3 in West Lafayette and Indiana on Oct 4 in Bloomington. The 'Cats are 29-56 all-time against the Boilermakers and 37-34 all-time against the Hoosiers, with the 'Cats winning their last match up, 3-1.

The 'Cats will send eight athletes including Dominik Stary, Nick Brookes and Simen Bratholm for qualifying singles. Antonioni Fasano, AJ Joshi, Steven FormanChris Ephron and Trice Pickens in pre-qualifying singles. The #10 doubles team of Bratholm and Brookes will also compete in main draw doubles.

The Northwestern men's golf team returns to the course after a week off. The Wildcats head to Wisconsin for the Marquette/Erin Hills Intercollegiate. Last season, the 'Cats swept the competition as Chicago's Big Ten Team took home the team championship and Ryan Lumsden was earned the individual title. Northwestern is led by. sophomore, Eric McIntosh who has placed in the top-25 in each of the tournaments played this season.

Northwestern is back in action this weekend for a doubleheader against DePaul beginning at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday at "The J". Admission is free to every fall ball game for all attending fans, as is parking on Sundays at the Ryan Field East lot. Northwestern has faced their crosstown foes 62 times during the regular season, with the 'Cats leading the all-time series, 40-22.
