Wildcats Take Down No. 25 Indiana, 75-69

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Lindsey Pulliam led a hot shooting Northwestern team with a season high 27 points in the Wildcats', 75-69, victory at No. 25 Indiana Wednesday night in Assembly Hall.
Northwestern came out firing on all cylinders, having control of the lead the entire game to give the No. 25 Hoosiers their first home loss in over a year.
First year Veronica Burton dropped 16 points in the first half and finished the night with a career high 19 points, hitting five three pointers. The guard also pulled down six rebounds.
The Wildcats were aggressive in the paint, outrebounding the Hoosiers. Northwestern secured 42 rebounds compared to the opponents' 29.
Senior Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah notched her ninth double-double of the season and 30th of her career with 11 points to go along with 11 boards, including eight defensive rebounds.
Northwestern moves to 3-3 in conference play and 10-7 overall as it prepares to take on Wisconsin (10-7, 1-4 Big Ten) in Welsh-Ryan Arena Sunday, Jan. 20 for Girls and Women in Sports Day. Tip off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
