EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern (10-6) will be heading north to Ann Arbor to face No. 2 Michigan (15-0) on Sunday. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. CT.

The two teams have already met this season, when the Wolverines came to the new Welsh-Ryan Arena in December. Dererk Pardon and Vic Law had 20 and 19 points respectively but NU narrowly lost, 62-60.

Michigan continues to climb in the national rankings, as they are one of two remaining undefeated teams, alongside No. 4 Virginia. The Wolverines have been keeping games comfortable, with only one game — against Northwestern — being decided by fewer than eight points.

The contest will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network, with Kevin Kugler and Jon Crispin on the call.

STORYLINES TO WATCH

LIMITING THE LONGBALL: The Wildcats have held opponents to just 27.4 percent shooting from three this year, the sixth best mark in the country. Michigan comes into the game hitting 37 percent of their threes; limiting the Wolverines triples could help decide the game.

CLEANING THE GLASS: Dererk Pardon has pulled down an average of 3.4 offensive rebounds per game this season, the second highest rate in the Big Ten, and good for 20th in the country. His 8.1 total rebounds per game is the fifth highest rate in the conference. Michigan is third in the country in scoring defense, so the Wildcat offense will need to capitalize on second-chance scoring opportunities.

HOW MUCH CAN YOU BENCH?: Northwestern's bench has averaged 18.3 points per game over their last three games. Anthony Gaines has been a key sixth man this season, averaging 5.2 points and 3.8 rebounds, including scoring a team-high 13 points in the last game against Iowa.

QUOTABLES

"He's going to shoot the ball. He's been a terrific shooter for us, he's a very good player. Some nights you make them, and some nights they just don't go in. … I want him to be aggressive, to take his shots. As long as we take good ones, he knows he's got the green light to take as many that are there."
"When you get into conference play, you've got to throw some different pitches. You got to give people some different looks at times. We just thought it could be effective in spots early in the game. It did its job."

"I think it's been getting better. You see gains, you see tonight we get 20 points off our bench. I thought they did a good job. They play hard, the young guys especially. These are great experiences for them playing in these big games."
