'Cats Host #19 Michigan Saturday Night at Martin Stadium

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern men's soccer continues Big Ten play on Saturday, Sept. 29 when it welcome No. 19 Michigan to Martin Stadium for an 8 p.m. CT contest. Fans will receive discounted $3 tickets at the gate when they show their Northwestern-Michigan football ticket.

NORTHWESTERN NOTES
• Northwestern (4-3-2, 0-2-1 B1G) enters the game after suffering a 2-1 loss at No. 2 Indiana on Wednesday night. The Wildcats and Hoosiers were tied at 1-1 in the 87th minute when IU scored the game-winning goal. The 'Cats have dropped one-goal decisions to Maryland and Indiana in league play, while earning a point on the road at Ohio State.
• Twelve different Northwestern players have registered at least one point this season with Camden Buescher leading the 'Cats with seven points on three goals and an assist.
• Goalkeeper Miha Miskovic has made 27 saves this season and owns a .730 goals against average. His six shutouts this season rank third nationally and first among Big Ten goalkeepers.
• Matt Moderwell scored his first career goal in the game against Indiana.

• The Wolverines sit atop the Big Ten standings with seven points.
• Since losing their season opener against Tulsa on Aug. 24, the Wolverines have gone on a seven-match unbeaten streak (6-0-1), the longest such streak since U-M's stretch of nine-straight wins to the NCAA College Cup in 2010 (Oct. 27-Dec. 4). So far this season, Michigan is 6-0-0 when scoring two goals or more in a match.
• Jack Hallahan leads the conference in shots (24), shots per game (3.00).
• Sophomore Umar Farouk Osman got back on the scoresheet on Tuesday (Sept. 25) with a goal and an assist in the Michigan's 3-1 win over Ohio State. Osman has 13 points this season -- third-most in the Big Ten -- and has points in five of the last six matches. He had two points (both assists) last season as a freshman.
• Henry Mashburn has played in eight games this season and has made 12 games with a .72 goals against average.
