Hamilton Leads Wildcats With 21 Point Game at No. 21 Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Paced by a 21-point performance by first year guard Jordan Hamilton, Northwestern put a late charge into No. 21 Michigan on Thursday night at the Crisler Center.
 
For Hamilton, it was her sixth time notching double-digits in points and her third time leading NU in scoring.
 
She contributed to the effort with a career-high four three-pointers, finishing with her second career game with 20-plus points.
 
First year guard Lindsey Pulliam also joined the double-digit club, notching 13 points.
 
Chicago's Big Ten Team performed from the free throw line, posting an 83 percent clip. NU outperformed Michigan in bench points, with the Wildcats leading in the metric, 12-2.
 
Northwestern came out strong on the road, leading Michigan, 15-13, in the first period, with Jordan Hamilton pacing the 'Cats with eight first quarter points. The Wolverines overcame the deficit, topping NU, 84-63.
 
Chicago's Big Ten Team is back at historic Beardsley Gym Sunday when it welcomes Iowa for Club Sports Day. Tip is at 2 p.m.
 
Individual Notes
  • First year guard Jordan Hamilton finished with 21 points, only her second career game with 20-plus points … It was her sixth time scoring double-digits in her young career … Her third time leading NU in scoring.
    • Notched a career-high four three-pointers on a career-high tying six attempts.
  • Sophomore forward Bryana Hopkins made a career-high tying two three pointers in the contest.
  • First year guard Lindsey Pulliam moved back into the team lead with 18 games of 10-plus points scoring … She surpassed sophomore forward Abi Scheid's mark of 17.
