Wildcats Set for Three Weekend Matches

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern men's tennis is set for a busy weekend, with a trip to No. 9 Oklahoma State on Friday evening before returning home to host No. 22 Notre Dame and Chicago State on Sunday.
The action in Stillwater, Oklahoma, is set for 5 p.m. CT. Sunday's matches will be held at noon and 6 p.m. at Combe Tennis Center.
Friday's contest will conclude a stretch of five consecutive tilts away from Evanston for the 'Cats. The trip began with a dominant, 5-0 win over Boise State and also included a victory over Georgia Tech. Most recently, Chicago's Big Ten Team fell at No. 20 Duke on Sunday, Feb. 4.
All three contests will be repeats of matchups from last season. NU fell 4-2 to then-No. 12 Oklahoma State at the ITA Indoors on Feb. 17, before also dropping an exciting match to Notre Dame on Feb. 24. In the last dual of the regular season, the Wildcats recorded a 6-0 shutout victory over Chicago State.
The ninth-ranked Cowboys are undefeated in seven matches, including an impressive 6-0 mark at home. Most recently, they took down Tulane in a 4-3 win last Sunday.
Notre Dame also enters the weekend without a loss, boasting a 6-0 record. The Irish won at Boston College in their last match.
Chicago State sits at 1-3 on the year, falling to Eastern Illinois in its last match on Jan. 30.
