BATON ROUGE, La. —
Northwestern men's golf is set to begin the NCAA Regionals as the No. 5 seed at the University Club.

This is the Wildcats' second time playing Regionals at the University Club — LSU's home course — in the last five years. It is Northwestern's eighth trip to the NCAA Regionals in the last nine seasons.

The #B1GCats are fresh off a second-place finish at the Big Ten Championships in which they wrapped up play 10 strokes lower than the next-lowest competitor, Ohio State.

STARTING V
The Wildcats are sending out Ryan Lumsden, Dylan Wu, Everton Hawkins, Conor Richardson, and Andrew Whalen.

GIMME THE DEETS
The University Club at Baton Rouge is a 7,372-yard, par-72 course. Admission is free.

Tee times on Monday and Tuesday will begin at 8:00 a.m. CT and Wednesday's action will get underway at 7:30 a.m. CT.

CHASING HISTORY
Junior Dylan Wu, the winner of the Les Bolstad Award for low Big Ten scoring average (70.28), is chasing Luke Donald's school-record scoring average of 70.45.

Through 94 collegiate rounds, Wu's career stroke average is 71.60, second behind Donald's 70.95 mark.

TOP SHELF
Junior Dylan Wu is also leading the squad in rounds of par or better (22), rounds in 60s (11), and top-five finishes (5). He also leads the Wildcats with 105 birdies.

JUST ONE
Sophomore Ryan Lumsden came one stroke away from tying Illinois' Dylan Meyer for the individual championship at the Big Ten Championships. Lumsden was the only entrant to shoot under par all three rounds (69-69-68) and finished with a 4-under 206, the best round of his career.

EEEEEEEAGLE
Sophomore Ryan Lumsden is leading the 'Cats in eagles by a hearty margin. He has seven, compared to the next-closest, Dylan Wu, who has two. Lumsden notched another eagle in the second round of the Big Ten Championships.

FULL CIRCLE
Redshirt senior Andrew Whalen is playing in his fourth and final NCAA Regional. He is returning to the University Club at Baton Rouge, where he played as a freshman in 2013.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB
Freshman Everton Hawkins is participating in his first NCAA Regional. Last season, sophomore Ryan Lumsden was the lone first-year golfer to play in the Regional and he placed second among Wildcats in Stillwater.

KNOCK KNOCK, WHO'S THERE?
Fourteen teams will play in the Baton Rouge NCAA Regional. The teams are, in order of seed: LSU, Oregon, Virginia, Duke, Northwestern, Arkansas, Jacksonville, Kentucky, South Florida, Iowa, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, Loyola (Md.), and Alabama State.

Additionally, five individuals from non-qualifying schools will play at Baton Rouge: Peng Pichaikool (Mississippi State), Zan Luka Stirn (Arkansas State), R. J. Keur (UAB), Zander Lozano (UTSA), and Albert Badosa-Soler (Nicholls).

The five teams with the lowest scores after 54 holes of competition will qualify for the NCAA Championships at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois, on May 26-31. The low individual from non-qualifying teams will also earn a trip to Sugar Grove.
