INDIANAPOLIS — Senior Jordan Wilimovsky set the Northwestern record in the 500 free and earned the fourth All-America honor of his career Thursday evening at the 2017 NCAA Championships.

Wilimovsky placed 13th overall in the 500 free event with a time of 4:14.85 in the consolation final, picking up honorable mention All-America. The Malibu, California, native posted a school-record time of 4:13.17 Thursday morning in the preliminary heat to qualify for the consolation final. Wilimovsky's time broke the previous Northwestern record of 4:14.70, which he set in 2015.

The Northwestern senior has earned All-America honors twice in the 1,650 free (2014, 2015) and once in 500 free (2015). Wilimovsky finished 15th overall in the 500 free at the 2015 NCAA Championships.

Wilimovsky will now take Friday off to prepare for Saturday's 1,650 free final, where he is the No. 4 overall seed heading into the event. Teammate Andrew Cramer will compete in the platform dive on Saturday.
