
Cramer, Wilimovsky Seek NCAA Championship

EVANSTON, Ill. — Seniors Jordan Wilimovsky and Andrew Cramer will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., this weekend for the 2017 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, which will take place from March 22-25 at the IU Natatorium.
Wilimovksy will compete for a national title in the 500 free (Thursday, March 23) and 1,650 free (Saturday, March 25) events, while Cramer will represent the Wildcats in platform diving on Saturday.
ESPN3.com will stream the championship finals sessions live on Friday and Saturday. Thursday's sessions along with the morning sessions on Friday and Saturday will be streamed live on www.ncaa.com and www.indianasportscorp.org/ncaasd. Tape delayed coverage of the championships will be broadcast on ESPNU at 6 p.m. CT on April 5.
Wilimovsky makes his fourth appearance at the NCAA Championships. The #B1GCats senior was last there in 2015 when placed 15th overall in the 500 free before claiming bronze in the 1,650 free. Wilimovsky earned a pair of All-America honors at the event. The Malibu, California, native missed the 2016 championships to train for the 2106 Summer Olympics.
For these championships, Wilimovsky is seeded 22nd in the 500 free with a time of 4:15.11 and fourth in the 1,650 free with a time of 14:34.51. The 500 free trials will begin at 9 a.m. CT on Thursday, March 23 with the finals to follow that evening at 5 p.m. CT. The coveted mile-long championship race will begin at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday.
Cramer will be making his second consecutive trip to the NCAA Diving Championships. Last year, Cramer placed 26th in the 3-meter event and 36th in the platform competition. His performance at the 2017 Zone C Championships on March 9, where he placed second in the platform dive with a score of 762.75 earned him a spot to compete for a national title.
