Northwestern Wraps Up Day Three of Conference Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Northwestern men's swimming and diving team scored numerous 2017 top times on day three of the Big Ten Championships.
Sophomore Will Hofstadter raced in the B-Final of the 100 breast and swam his finals race in 54.67, picking up points for the Wildcats. Hofstadter qualified for the B-Final by swimming his prelims in 53.59, which places him second on Northwestern's all-time depth chart.
Ryan Tate scored for the #B1GCats in the 100 fly with a third-place finish in his finals heat when he touched the wall in 47.60. His time was the fastest of any Northwestern swimmier in the event this season.
Jordan Wilimovsky continued to shine for the 'Cats. He swam a Northwestern 2017 time in the 400 IM with a 14th overall finish. The Malibu, California, native finished the race in 3:52.14, which was an NCAA 'B' cut time. Tyler Lis placed 22nd in the event with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 3:54.27.
In the diving events, Andrew Cramer placed 17th overall in the 3-meter with a score of 339.60, while teammate Ben Magliato earned a score of 302.00.
Northwestern's 200 free relay team of Almog Olshtein, Hofstadter, Ryan Tate and Alex Snarski swam a top time of 1:20.67.
